A memorial service for Walter Glenn Fugitt, 69, of Joshua will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Brian Fisher will officiate.
Walter Glenn Fugitt died peacefully at Ridgeview Nursing Home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 in Cleburne. He was born Aug. 13, 1947 in Whitney to Walter Edward and Gladys Necessary Fugitt. He was a great family man and a loving father. He married Dianna Kay Bentley on April 8, 1966 in Ft. Worth and the couple had six children together.
Glenn was a social, active man who was deeply involved in his family and enjoying life. He served in the United States Army and was a truck driver for the majority of his life. His family and friends will always remember him as a very kind and loving person.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Dianna Fugitt of Joshua; sons, Robert Fugitt and wife Karen of Ft. Worth and Michael Fugitt and wife Mary of Cleburne; daughter, Marcie Jones of Joshua; grandchildren, Rowdy Fugitt, Lacey Fugitt, Wes Allen, Aven Allen, Kellee Burgess, T.J. Pittman, Kendra McDavid, Jasper Jones and Dawson Jones; great grandchildren, Selest Nieto, Skyler Allen, Payton Allen, Addison Allen, Bri Rubel, Aubree Nieto, Victor Burgess, Laikynn Pittman and Corra Chenault; siblings, Jerry Fugitt of Ft. Worth, Donald Fugitt and Faye Lackey, both of Cleburne; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and beloved friends who will miss him greatly. He is preceded in death by his parents; children, Wesley, Christopher and Tracy Fugitt; two brothers, Charles and James; and three sisters, Jewell, Louise and Gene.
