Graveside service for Wanda Peterson Duke, 82, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 21, 2021 in Baker Lain Cemetery.

Wanda passed away August 13, 2021 in Cleburne. She was born March 15, 1939 in Brownwood to Cecil Orea and Anna Mae Ezell Blackwood. Wanda was blessed with two loves in her lifetime. She married Daniel Taz Peterson on March 25, 1961 in Fort Worth. They were married 41 years at the time of his death in 2002. She married Charles Duke on March 22, 2003 in Johnson County. They were married 13 years at the time of his death in 2016. Wanda was a rural carrier for the Fort Worth postal service for 26 years before retiring in 1999. Wanda held the whole family together with love and strength. She had an independent streak and a strong will. Wanda enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, fishing and shooting as well as gardening. Wanda was an avid stamp collector and spent countless hours discovering family history through her genealogical research. She will be missed greatly and remembered throughout generations to come.

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Gina Eide and husband Jon, Kelly Lutt and husband Randy; bonus daughter, Deb Johnson and husband Rick; special nieces, Melissa Blackwood and Ryleigh Foster; grandchildren Jon Daniel Eide, Chad & Lacey Eide, Erin & Mitchell Bell, Lauren & Steven Sears, Wyatt Lutt, Victoria Lutt; great-grandchildren, Jase Daniel, Remsley, Coy, Evie, Hazel and host of other relatives and friends including her many furry family members.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, Daniel Taz Peterson and Charles Duke, daughter Stacy Peterson, brothers Arthur Blackwood and Bobby Blackwood.
