Service for Waulena “Pete” Pollock, 90, of Grandview will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, Dec. 26, 2016 in the Grandview Nursing Home Chapel. Mr. Kern Porter will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2:00 P.M., in the chapel, prior to the service.
Waulena “Pete” Pollock passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 in Grandview. She was born April 21, 1926 in Indian Territory in Okla. to Guy Oliver and Zenobia Mae Simpson Watson. She married William Floyd “Bill” Pollock in 1942 in Johnson County and he preceded her in death in 1993.
Mrs. Pollock worked as a moving packer for United Van and Storage and was a bookkeeper for more than 25 years for Pollock Construction Co before retiring. She was a member of Central Church of Christ and then Westside Church of Christ.
Survivors include her sons, Danny Pollock and wife Diane of Grandview and Ronnie Pollock and wife Susan of Cleburne; six grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several other relatives and friends who will miss her greatly. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Guy “Dooley” and Mae Watson; brother, J.O. Watson; and sister, Arletta “Midge” Lanman.
