Services for Wayne Hadley, 86, of Joshua, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 22, 2021, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cleburne. Pastor Harly Charles will officiate. Burial to follow in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, October 21, 2021, at the funeral home.
Wayne passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, in Fort Worth. He was born June 26, 1935, in Cleburne to Olin Bostic and Jessie Winell Frazier Hadley. He married Lena Laverne Richardson on October 15, 2000, in Cleburne. Wayne was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cleburne. He was self-employed as a farmer and rancher. Wayne was a quiet man who loved his farm and refused to retire, which made it hard for him to be “idle”. He always kept an eye out on his neighborhood. Wayne served on the Board of Directors for the Soil Conservation Service. He also served in the United States Army from 1958-1960, where he was stationed in Northern Europe.
Wayne is survived by his son, Tony Hadley and wife, Amanda; wife, Laverne Hadley; grandchildren, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Connor, and Reese; brother, Jim Hadley; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wives, Esther Marilyn Hoehn Hadley and Florene Dunn Hadley; and brother, Fred Hadley.
