Wayne Hudson

A graveside service for Wayne Hudson, 85, of Granbury, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 29, 2024, in the Rosehill Cemetery.  Brent Montgomery will officiate.  A visitation will be held before the service on Thursday, from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

Wayne Hudson passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024, surrounded by his family in Granbury.  He was born on June 16, 1938, in Kopperl to Marion Elmer and Vivian Lorian (Johnson) Hudson.  He married Jane Ann Vinson on November 2, 1956, in Cleburne. Wayne was a general Foreman for Santa Fe Railroad.

Wayne was a loving husband and proud father, valuing his family more than anything. He was known for keeping an immaculate yard. He was a golfer and avid reader, reading the Bible daily. Wayne loved his grandchildren and loved to sing to them and talk about Santa Fe.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jane Hudson; son, Dr. Monte Hudson and Gay of Granbury; granddaughter, DeAnna Montgomery, and Brent; grandsons, Clifton Hudson and Adale and Trey Rebstock and Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Caitlin Mabery and Nathan, Lane Barrett, Audrey Montgomery, Kinley Montgomery, Lila Hudson, Aiden Hudson, Stetson Hudson, Kai Avery, Ember Rebstock, and Marley Rebstock; great-great-grandchildren, Colton Mabery and Carsyn Mabery; sister, Ann Wood; brother, Bill Hudson, and Ruthie and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Vivian Hudson; sisters, Marilyn Reynolds and Trinna Lanell Hudson.
