Wayne Stephens

Wayne Stephens passed away Monday, January 9, 2006 in Ft. Worth. He was born March 1, 1931 in Covington to Jim G. and Mamie J. McMurry Stephens. He married Allie LaDean Ballard on February 28, 1953 in Weatherford.
Mr. Stephens was a retired laborer for Santa Fe Railroad with 39 years of service. He enjoyed raising and riding horses.
Wayne Stephens is survived by his wife LaDean Stephens of Cleburne; two sons, Marshall Stephens of Glen Rose and Monte Stephens of Cleburne; daughter, Barbara Leverett and husband Curtis of Rio Vista; four grandchildren, Brian Leverett, Michael Leverett, Tiffany Stephens and Terra Stephens; three brothers, E. C. Stephens of Cleburne, Newman Stephens of Cleburne and Robert Stephens of Pflugerville; one sister, Marleen Hix of Waco; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bob and Short and three sisters, Flora Mae Wilson, Eula Jo Tribble and Georgia Lee Simmons.
