Celebration of Life Gathering will be held for Welda Jean "Jeannie" Holtman, 69, of Godley, beginning at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at her home. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the SPSCA at www.spsca.org .
Jeannie passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010 in Godley, surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Weldon and Mary Jo Waters Brown on February 9, 1941 in Fort Worth. She married Robert W. Holtman, Jr. on July 26, 1958 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Jeannie worked as a Nutritionist for numerous years with the Godley ISD and Harris Hospital. She was a private lady that valued her family. She was known for her love of genealogy, history, antiquing and animals. It has been said that she was a little lady that loved big and in color. Grandma Jeannie will be missed greatly by all those that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tommy Brown.
Survivors include her husband, Robert W. Holtman, Jr.; children and their spouses, Londa and Joe Feagin, Laura and Jeff Summey, Robert W. Holtman, III., Terri and Michael Craun, and Tracey and Jesse Vera; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Mark Brown, Mike Brown, Diane Norman and Linda Webster; several nieces and nephews; her beloved dogs, Jake and Gigi and a host of other relatives and friends.
