Graveside service for Weldon Lee Bomar, Sr., 86, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 12:45 P.M., Monday, October 10, 2011 in the DFW National Cemetery in Grand Prairie. The Reverend Mark Ely will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-6 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bomar passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Cleburne. He was born September 1, 1925 in Talpa, TX to Thomas Wesley and Annie Dial Brown Bomar.
Mr. Bomar served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from Bell Helicopter with 38 years of service. He was a member of the College Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Rose and husband Robert of Cleburne; three sons, Weldon Lee Bomar, Jr. and wife Jody of Hurst, Charles Stephen Bomar and wife Lynda of Whitney and Kenneth Scott Bomar and wife Brenda of North Richland Hills; five granddaughters, Julie Britain, Melissa Huckfeldt, Kailey Chastain, Kasey Bomar and Angela Rodgers; four grandsons, Jason Britain, Dallas Rose, Weldon Lee Bomar III and Justin Bomar; six great grandchildren and one sister, Elizabeth "Dot" Bomar of Ballinger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wes and Annie Dial Bomar and three brothers, Tom, James and Robert Bomar.
