Weldon Petty

Services for Weldon Ray "Curley" Petty, 71, of Kennedale, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 09, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Walter Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Garry Petty, Jr., Christopher Petty, Jerry Petty, Jr., Justin Petty, Chris Ochoe, and Joseph Shokley. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Petty passed away Thursday, Sept. 03, 2009 in Dallas. He was born September 02, 1938 in Ft. Worth to Thomas Armstrong and Maggie Jane Worlow Petty. He married Francis Marie Kuykendall on June 26, 1961, in Vernon.
Mr. Petty was a retired truck driver.
Weldon "Curley" Petty is survived by his wife, Marie of Kennedale; sons, Terry Petty and wife Wendy of Whitney, Garry Petty and wife Marie, Jerry Petty and wife, Michelle, Kerry Petty and Perry Petty, all of Kennedale; siblings, Harold "Cotton" Petty of Rhome, Marion "MT" Petty of Granbury, Evelyn Peacock of Cleburne and Linda Stewart of Covington, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William "Bill " Petty and daughter, Sherry Ann Petty.
