Weldon Stevens

Service for Weldon "Butch" Stevens, 66, of Rio Vista, will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Terry Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Stevens, Johnny Moore, Darrell Moore, Paul Green, Jody Stevens, Dwain Lackey, Mike Reeves and Tommy Bridges. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackey Lackey, Gene Prine, Jack Brown and Jessie Martin. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 P.M.

Butch Stevens passed away Friday, January 18, 2013 in Dallas. He was born August 4, 1946 in Johnson County, to Joseph Delbert and Cleo Emmaline Johnson Stevens. He married Lily Kathryn Keeton on April 8, 1967 in Cleburne.

Mr. Stevens was a service technician for Southwestern Bell/AT& T for over 30 years and served in the National Guard. He was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church in Burleson.

Weldon "Butch"Stevens is survived by his wife, Kathy Stevens of Rio Vista; daughters, Cheri Hodges and husband, Justin and Teri Faraizl and husband, Jeff all of Rio Vista; brothers, Charles Stevens and wife, Beverly and Ronald Stevens all of Grandview; sisters, Margaret Patrick and husband Skeet of Grandview, Bertha Parham and husband, Carroll of Stephenville and Kay Lackey and husband, Jackey of Cleburne; five grandchildren, Jessica Stroud and husband, Taylor, Jordyn Hodges, Tyler Hodges, Katy Stone and Kyle Faraizl and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph and Cleo Stevens; brother, J.D. Stevens and sisters, Lorraine Green, Gladys Reeves, Claudia Bridges and Betty Jo Stevens.
