Services for Wilburn Allen Overstreet, 81, of Whitney, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Alan Lane will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be JamesWorley, Joe Jackson, Jerry Schmidt, Ron Hendricks, Jerry Gribble and Robert Rowe. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sam Ward, Cecil Cope and Dave Heine.
Wilburn Allen Overstreet passed away Monday, September 10, 2007 in Whitney. He was born April 27, 1926 in Mangum Oklahoma to Marvin Wilburn and Bonnie Kingston Overstreet. He married Duskie Blair on September 27, 1926.Mr. Overstreet served in the Navy and worked in the auto/body industry. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Whitney.
Wilburn Allen Overstreet is survived by his wife, Evelyn Overstreet of Whitney; daughter, Susan Owen and husband Robert of Keller, TX; son, William George Overstreet of Joplin, Missouri; granddaughters, Darlene Overstreet of Joplin, MO, Melissa Moreno and husband Tony of Keller and Holly Minick and husband Cody of Ft Worth; grandson, Jeffrey Owen and wife Jennifer of Keller; six great-grandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Duskie Overstreet, son, Perry Overstreet and granddaughter, Deborah Overstreet
