Graveside service for Wilena Mae Granny Gregory, 92, of Covington, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in the Rosehill Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Del Angel, Cord Gregory, Wesley Rineheart, Roger Gregory II, Melvin Gregory, Stephen Gregory, Cason Gregory, and Bryson Gregory. No visitation is scheduled.

Wilena Mae Granny Gregory passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 in Keene. She was born Dec. 23, 1920 in Springfield, Missouri. She married Melvin Lee Gregory on Jan. 16, 1942 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 2000.

Mrs. Gregory was a homemaker and also caregiver to several family members throughout her life. She was very family oriented and loved to cook and served everyone with love. She sewed and made many of her own clothes. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and singing. Wilena volunteered at her church and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of Covington Church of Christ. Granny will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sons, Roger Gregory and wife Jamie and Bernie Gregory and wife Olena; daughter, Esther Del Angel and husband Jimmy; six grandchildren, Sharon, Roger, Cindy, Melvin, Stephen and Ana; 10 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Neta Elsie Welch Thornton; and one brother, Clarence Arlee Thornton.
