Wiley "Cliff" Rotenberry

Today we celebrate the life of Wiley “Cliff” Rotenberry. Cliff passed away peacefully with family at his side on Monday, August 12, 2019, at the age of 89. Cliff was born January 27, 1930, in Alvarado, Texas, to Jack and Buna Wiley Rotenberry. He was the oldest son and second child out of seven children. He joined the Army at the age of 18, barely missing World War II, but was active duty during the start of the Korean Conflict. He earned the Bronze Star with Valor and Purple Heart while serving his country.
Following his time in the Army, Cliff worked in several food industries, including Kimbell’s Food in Fort Worth, Pepsi in Abilene, Coca-Cola in Oklahoma City, and Miller Brewing in Fort Worth. Cliff retired from Miller Brewing in 1998. In retirement, he and Sharen, his wife of almost forty years, traveled and spent time with friends and family. They lived in Rio Vista from 1979 until 2017, when they moved to Round Rock, Texas.
Cliff is survived in life by his wife, Sharen; brother, Chester; son, Bill; daughter, Beverly; and sons, Toby and Tad. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 16, 2019 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
