Service for Will Ed Bandy Sr., loving husband, father and grandfather, 83, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Danny Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff England, Johnny Hight, Larry Richardson, Billy Pat Arnold, Dave Smelley, and Dennis North. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Will Ed Bandy Sr. passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 in Ft. Worth. He was born October 31, 1931 in Cleburne to Otis Earl and Carrie Wakeland Bandy. He married Johnnie Ruth Boone on May 22, 1953 in Cleburne and she preceded him in death on March 2, 2013.
Mr. Bandy served in the United States Army. He was a rancher for many years, raising Angus cattle and working the farm in Bono. During this time he and his entire family were active members of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Posse Association. He worked for the United States Postal Service for a short time and then retired as a car salesman for Forrest Chevrolet in Cleburne. He loved the horse races and enjoyed summer trips to Ruidoso, New Mexico each year with many friends and family. He was a former member of First Baptist Church of Godley. He and his wife Ruth then moved their membership to follow their son-in-law where he pastored. His love for life and family will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his daughter, Donna Rogers and husband Danny of Cleburne; son, Will Ed Bandy Jr. of Cleburne; grandchildren, Randy Rogers and wife Chelsea and Adam Rogers; two great grandchildren, Isabel Ruth Rogers and River Rose Rogers; nieces and nephews, Earl Bandy Jr., Lisa Tribble, and Darlene Lambert; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother, Earl Bandy.
