Services for Willard "Will" Lee Baker, 65, of Burleson, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Pastor Lanny Spruill officiating. Burial will follow in the Godley Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday.

Mr. Baker passed away Monday, March 26, 2012, at his home. He was born to Kenneth Willard and Virginia Leona Shoquist Baker on July 20, 1946, in Marietta, Ohio. Will married Cindy Hardcastle on Sept. 23, 1969, in Fort Worth. He served over four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era and then in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He was a member and chaplain of the past two years with the American Legion, Post 50 in Cleburne.
Will worked as a union carpenter for a number of years, and then for the last decade had been a bus driver with the Alvarado ISD. Will was a faithful husband and devoted family man in every sense of the phrase, always placing his family as a priority in his life. He was a proud "Papa" who adored his grandchildren. He knew no stranger for long. Above all he was a Christian and was dedicated to helping others. His loving nature and love of laughter will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Will was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, S.L. and Peggy Hardcastle; brother in law, Pascal Hardcastle; sister-in-law, Kay Hardcastle; and niece, Christy Baker.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Cindy Hardcastle Baker; children and their spouses, Kevin and Andrea Baker, Jennifer and Ramon "J.R." Ledbetter, and Nicole and Jessie Johnson; 10 grandchildren; siblings and their spouses, William "Bill" and Ellen Baker, Richard Baker, DeAnna and Russ Emerick, and Karen and Larry Walker; siblings-in-law and their spouses, Steve and Kay Hardcastle, Charles and Donna Hardcastle, Bobbie and Richie O'Daniel, Penny and Justin Redman, and Thea Hardcastle; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
