William "Billy" Nelson

A Celebration of Life for William “Billy” Nelson, 70, of Keene will be held from 2:00-4:00 P.M., Saturday, October 12, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Grandview.

 Billy passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 in Keen. He was born September 9, 1954, in Fort Worth. Billy was of the Seven-day Adventist faith. He was a sweet, loving and giving man. He never cared “who” you were you were equal to him. He was always there to support people in their time of need. Billy owned and operated TNS Ceramics in Arlington for ten years. He enjoyed shopping and decorating, especially for Christmas. He was also a collector of elephants and roosters. Billy will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

 Billy is survived by his siblings, Alice Rodriguez (Joe), Judy Kessler (Jason), Ruby Nelson; numerous generations of nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Fancy.

 Billy is preceded in death by his parents, James Perry Nelson and Helen Arlene Henderson; husband, James R. Truitt; brothers, Bobby Nelson and Jimmy Nelson, nephew, Maya Miles; and beloved fur babies, George, Petey, Puddin’, Lady and Boss.
