William “Willy” Caldwell passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in Fort
Worth. He was born on December 03, 1958 in Sacramento, California to William
E. and Georgia Anne (Furness) Caldwell. He married Melinda Kay Owen
on September 08, 1978 in Burleson. He was the owner and operator of Metro Tile &
Marble, retiring in 2020. Willy was strong-willed, as well as a devoted and faithful Christian man. “Papaw”, as his grandchildren called him, was family-oriented, to say the least. He truly adored his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Willy was kind-hearted and had a giving nature. He believed in doing things right, so much so that it has been said he was a perfectionist. He was one of the hardest-working men you could meet. Willy will be forever remembered by those he leaves behind.
Willy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Melinda Caldwell; children and their spouses, Taylor and Ashley Caldwell and Sarah and Michael Whistler; grandchildren, Waylon, Jacob, Weston and Laynee; father, William “Bill” E. Caldwell and his wife, Jan; brother, Chris Caldwell; nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Pindell and siblings, Robert
Caldwell, Teresa Caldwell and Tina Black.
