William Martin

Service for William Charles Martin, 82, of Grandview will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 in the Bethel Temple Church in Cleburne. The Reverend Mike Mizell and The Reverend Wayne McCoy will officiate. Burial will be in the Venus Memorial Park. Pallbeareres will be Dwayne Martin, Chris Osborne, Kevin Osborne, Eric Kirkland, Terry Martin and Wes Moczygemba. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Richardson, Bill Morgan, Jimmy Landers and Ernie Stephens.

Mr. Martin passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 in Ft. Worth. He was born Sept. 1, 1928 in Ellis County to Plummer Clyde and Katie Mae Edwards Martin. He married Patricia Thigpen on Jan. 24, 1982 in San Antonio.
Mr. Martin worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber for 27 years and was a member of the Bethel Temple church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife Patricia Martin of Grandview; daughters, Kim Meads of San Antonio, Brenda Sours and husband Ray of Ft. Worth and Gayla Henslee of Cleburne; son, Dwayne Martin of Cleburne; sister, Lula Mae Carlisle and husband Walter of Midlothian; brothers, Sidney and wife Jerrie of Burleson, Johnny and wife Cathy of Castle Rock, CO. and Robert and wife Paula of Grand Prairie; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
