William Frank Patterson

A visitation for William Frank Patterson, 78, of Cleburne will be 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, March 21 at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 22, 2025 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne

William Frank Patterson was born to Nadine Mae and William Alton "Wink" Patterson on May 2 1946. They brought him home to Mansfield Texas where he lived most of his life.

Bill graduated from Mansfield High School then went on to attend The University of Texas at Arlington. During his years as a Mansfield Tiger, he was a standout football, track and boxing star. Later he joined his father working in the banking industry. He married and had two children, Laura and James. Bill always said this was one of his greatest accomplishments as he was very proud of them.

When leaving the banking business in the early 70's Bill Patterson Motor Co was established. Bill had several car lots all over the Fort Worth area and then finally moving his business to Cleburne.

In 1994 he married his wife Donna and took on raising 3 boys, Michael, Matthew, and Mickie as his own. "Step" was not in his vocabulary. As they traveled with the kids it was the grandest time in their lives. During this time their family grew even more with daughters-in-law, Jodi, Kristen and Sonni. Then the grandchildren and greats followed.

He retired from the car business around 2009 and started his Cowboy Gig, Top Texas Seller. Bill loved vintage western and started out selling online all over the country. He continued to buy and sell until just a few weeks ago. During this time, he made many cowboy friends along the way

On March 12 he and Donna celebrated their 31st anniversary. Donna said he was the best thing that ever came into their lives.

Bill could be a man of few words but for without a doubt he loved God, his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his wife of 31 years, Donna, his children James and wife Jodi, Laura, Michael, Matthew and wife Kristen, Mickie and wife Sonni; his grandchildren, Katelynn, Kimberly, Mitchell, Jackson, Braxton, Karsyn, Averie, Laken, Colt, Holly, Mykha, Spencer and Keegan, his great grandchildren, Brazos, Weston, Hayes, Rhiannon, his mother-in-law Shirley Sims, his sister, Betty, and his fur baby Coco

He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Wink" Patterson and Nadine Patterson, his grandparents and father-in-law Mickey Sims.

The family would like to thank Dr. Raju for taking care of William. Dr. Raju became a close friend as well as Willliam's doctor.
