William Ray

Memorial service for William D. Ray, 68, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, March 9, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.

William D. Ray passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 in Cleburne. He was born August 1, 1945 in Mobile Alabama to L.M. and Jonny Ray. He married Joan Evans on December 2, 1964 in Hinsdale, Illinois.

Mr. Ray was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and was adored by all who knew him. He was a firm believer in the Seventh-day Adventist faith.

Survivors include his loving wife, Joan Ray; children, Billy Ray and wife Sue, Sherry Reese and husband Bob, Jimmy Ray, and Justin Ray and wife Christi; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings, Patsy Magnant and husband Earl, and Sherry Mathson; sister-in-law, Joyce Evans; a number of nieces and nephews; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Ray and a sister, Peggy Cherry.
