Service for Winnetta Hill Byford, 65, of Grapevine, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 19, 2023 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Chaplain Eddy Carrell will officiate. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the funeral home.
Winnetta passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 in Grapevine. She was born June 28, 1957 in Cleburne to Winston Clayton and Violet Marie (Rutherford) Hill. Winnetta married Tyler Byford on June 20, 2000 in Lewisville, Texas. She was of the Christian faith and worked for Marti Electronics in Cleburne. Winnetta also worked as a seamstress for the Von Erichs (Kevin & Kerry); she was a caretaker at a Horse Farm; a part of Six Flags Show Productions for several years; she also worked as a data analyst and programmer for MSI; a report writer at Fellowship Tech and Vice President of Information Technology at MSI. Some of Winnetta’s hobbies included belly dancing, crafting and putting together puzzles with her granddaughters. She liked all things Disney World. Winnetta will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Tyler Byford; brother-in-law Mark Kroesch and wife, Diane (sister of Winnetta); daughter, Amanda Mask; granddaughters, Kaylee Mask/Bestie and Raelyn Mask; bonus daughter, Dawn Sowa; several cousins throughout the country; aunt, Hilda Maitland; friends, Cheryl Bearden, John & Amanda Butler, and Jeanne Schaefer.
Winnetta was preceded in death by her parents.
