Graveside service for Winnie Louise Smith, 77, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Live Oak Cemetery. Chaplain Eddy Carrell will officiate. Pallbearers will be Gary Roye, Shane Roye, Lynn Roye, Jerry Moorehead, Bobby Moorehead, and Dustin Rubio. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron “Bubba” Roye, Terry Womack, Coy Miller, and Lonnie Sadler. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Winnie Louise Smith passed away Monday, Feb. 29, 2016 in Ft. Worth. She was born Nov. 24, 1938 in Marshall to Earnest David and Linnie Bell Flanagan Wallace. She married Darwin Ray Smith on Nov. 19, 1955 in Cleburne and he preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 2001.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She lovingly nurtured and raised her granddaughter, Jeanie Romero, grandson, Cody Smith and two great grandchildren, Dakota and Kenslee Smith. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Donald Ray Smith, Tim Smith, Steve Smith, and Clay Smith; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry Wallace; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, David Wayne Smith; grandson, Torry Allen; brothers, Glen Dole Wallace, Billy Wallace, and Rayford Wallace; and sisters, Minnie Ferguson, Winnie Armstrong, Dorothy Hardaway, and L.V. Martin.
