Wyona Dianne Lambert, 82 went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2020 in Keene, TX
Wyona was born to William Dorman and Lelia Jewel Sinclair in Hill County, TX on October 12, 1937. She attended Godley schools and loved playing basketball. That’s where she developed her love of sports. She met her husband, C.J. Lambert in Godley and they were married on August 2, 1958.
Wyona worked as a secretary and retired from Johnson County MHMR. She was always the peacemaker and held her family together with love and encouragement.
She was a longtime sports fan and loved her Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys but her biggest source of pride and joy were her grandkids, Sarah, Emily, Baron and Katy Ackermann and Jackson Testa. They will miss their “Gangy” deeply.
Survivors include her daughter, Julie Testa and husband Jeff of Gordon, TX, daughter Peggy Ackermann and husband John of Keene, TX, son Casey Lambert and partner Reid Ainsworth of Dallas, TX, grandchildren Sarah, Emily, Baron and Katy Ackermann of Keene, TX and Jackson Testa of Gordon, TX and extended family.
Wyona was preceded in death by her husband, C.J. Lambert in 1988, baby Mark Reynolds Lambert in 1960, parents W.D. Sinclair in 1984 and Lelia Sinclair in 2002 and brother Jim Sinclair in 2016.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers, nurses and staff at Town Hall Estates in Keene, TX who provided friendship and comfort during her residency and also to Mission Hospice for their care during her final weeks. A special “Thank You” to Milton Siems who always made sure her TV was tuned to her favorite programs.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Godley Cemetery.
